As a beer lab, our mission is to use the science of beer to build community, educate beer drinkers, and create the highest-quality beer possible. Beyond bringing people into our taprooms for a delicious beverage, we are deeply involved in our local Durham/RTP community, assisting and contributing to both STEM and community-minded projects and organizations. The core values of our company are to build community, to create happiness, & to be customer focused in all that we do.
Our Locations
Our on-site brewery, large retail bottle shop, taproom, and outdoor beer garden is conveniently located in South Durham in RTP.
Our taproom at Durham Central Park features an exclusive selection of our beer on draft and to-go in cans and crowlers.
Upcoming Events
We host a variety of beer events & non-beer events alike. Join us for our weekly run or cycling club, or compete in our weekly disc golf league. We also host a live music in the beer garden, team trivia, food trucks, and a vinyl record night.

Happenings at The Glass Jug
From its line of “Fresh” hard seltzers, to frozen boozy slushies, non-alcoholic beer and beverages, mulled wine and spiced apple cider, to the introduction of a full line of Harper’s Real Ginger Beer in 2022, The Glass Jug Beer Lab has morphed beyond just a beer-focused brewery and into a modern beverage company.
And, for the first time, the Downtown Durham taproom will be debuting cocktails on draft on Friday, December 1, 2023.
